SHFPACT Council invites Members and Friends to the Annual General Meeting of Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT Incorporated (SHFPACT) to be held on Thursday 22 November 2018 5.30pm for 6.00pm start at Canberra Museum and Gallery (Theatrette), London Circuit, Canberra.

The forms below should be returned by close of business Wednesday 21 November 2018 for:

  • Renewal of membership (for those who have not yet renewed) To renew online go to http://www.shfpact.org.au/support-or-work-with-us/membership
  • Nomination for election to the SHFPACT Council (current Association Members only)
  • Proxy nomination form for (members unable to attend who wish to appoint a proxy to exercise their vote on their behalf)

The Council invites Friends of SHFPACT to consider renewing or upgrading their membership to primary members of the Association with full voting rights.

Council also extends an invitation to all interested members to consider nomination for election to the Council to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of the organisation. AGM Guest Presenters:

Rebecca Bartlett
Rebecca will present on the award-winning social innovation platform, Shifra – a web app designed to improve access to quality sexual and reproductive health care for migrant and refugee people and communities. It provides local, evidence-based health information in multiple languages for communities with varying levels of language and health literacy. Shifra also directs users to trusted clinics where they can access respectful and safe care.

Rebecca Vassarotti
Well-known community sector leader and consultant in the Canberra community, Rebecca will present work commissioned by SHFPACT, AIDS Action Council and Hepatitis ACT with funding support from the ACT Government to undertake a needs analysis of the STI/BBV sector in the ACT.

2. Expression of Interest

Expressions of interest are invited from members of the Association for the SHFPACT Council. In the event that positions remain unfilled at the AGM, the Council may appoint members to these positions. Appointed members will serve until the next Annual General Meeting of the Association.

3. Nominations for SHFPACT council 2017-2018

Nominations are invited from eligible members for the following positions on Council. Nominees, Nominators and Seconders must be financial members of six months’ standing. SHFPACT Council members are elected for two-year terms. There are six (6) positions open for election at the 2017 Annual General Meeting.

4. Proxy voting form
