Practice Manager

• $55,000 p.a. (pro-rata) + 9% super + salary packaging

SHFPACT (Sexual Health & Family Planning ACT) is a health promotion charity providing sexual and reproductive health services to the Canberra community. We are looking for a client-focussed team player to join the reception team in our fully computerised clinic.

Key responsibilities include the supervision of reception staff, ensuring that the information systems and processes of the clinic are functioning effectively; policy and procedures are up-to-date; and, troubleshooting of problems that emerge in the day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clinical team to ensure the efficient and effective management of reception, administration and clinic support services, and delivery of high quality customer service to clients
• Supervise the reception team, including facilitation of regular meetings and professional development
• Provide high quality customer service to all internal and external clients
• Participate as part of the organisational management team

Key Selection Criteria:

• Qualifications and/or substantial relevant experience in human services, business administration, medical reception or practice management
• Demonstrated capacity to proactively prioritise tasks and effectively manage multiple demands in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated highly developed communication skills in all areas of work
• Demonstrated experience working as part of a flexible and multidisciplinary team
• Previous experience supervising and managing staff
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• High level of computer literacy and proficiency
• Desirable: Experience with Medical Director 3 / PracSOFT 3 software packages.
