National Disability Insurance Scheme

Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT has been working in the Canberra community for over forty-five years providing reproductive and sexual health education, respectful relationships, social skills, and social safety supports for children, young people, and adults with disability.

SHFPACT is registered with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provider.

Our NDIS Services

We provide information, education and training support for parents, carers and support-workers.

Group Programs for People with Disability and/or Autism

All group programs can be funded under the 'Capacity Building - Increased Social and Community Participation' part of your NDIS plan.

Individual Counselling for People with Disability and/or with Autism

Individual Counselling at SHFPACT focuses on your knowledge, emotions and goals. SHFPACT counsellors will assist you to increase your knowledge and develop the skills required to safely engage in healthy relationships with others.

Individual counselling can be funded under NDIS package (Capacity Building, Improved Daily Living). The hourly rate of a counselling session is based on the current NDIS Price Guideline.

Support for Parents, Carers and Professionals

SHFPACT provides evidence-based training and support for parents, carers and professionals working with people with disabilities.

This can include:

  • SoSAFE! User Training
  • Individualised SoSAFE! User Training
  • Participation in case conferences
  • Clinical supervision for teachers, disability workers or other professionals
  • TQI training for teachers

Training for parents and carers be funded under NDIS package (Capacity Building, Improved Daily Living).
